We specialise in the design and development of private homes, mixed use residential developments, and domestic extensions. We have a particular interest in difficult and constrained sites that require creative use of the limited space available.

Our principal business is architecture. We are able to assist clients at all stages in the design and development process. Through the creative application of our professional understanding and the skills of our team, we aim to achieve the most appropriate solution to our client's specific requirements.

- Building Regulations Approval – Ensuring a solution that is compliant with the regulations.

- Site Inspection – Checking that what is built is what we expected would be built.
- Contract Administration – Ensuring the job runs smoothly on site.
Health and Safety:
We are able to offer our clients advice on their responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
Development:
Snug Projects works closely with our sister company Snug Homes in the realisation of small to medium sized residential property developments. This experience gives us practical insight into the specific concerns of property development. We specialise in all stages of the development process. This includes the identification of appropriate sites, negotiation and management of the land purchase, as well as full architectural services.
We are able to support both private clients, seeking to build their own home, or property developers, through each stage of the development process, from inception to sale.

Education:
We are committed to architectural education, consultancy and facilitation at various levels. This includes:
- The co-ordination of a combined architecture and engineering degree course at Southampton University.
- Delivery of lecture courses on Urban Design, Construction Detailing and Architecture.
- Tutoring on architecture degrees at various universities.
- Partnering with the Solent Centre for Architecture and Design, artists and local schools on various educational/arts projects.
- Working with the New Arts Centre to develop arts-based learning.
- Active engagement in the ongoing debate into architectural design and development in the southern region.
- Active on the Winchester and Eastleigh Architects Panel.
We also believe firmly in the value of our own ongoing education and encourage all our staff to engage in continued professional development. We also arrange regular visits to inspirational and exemplar projects.
Sustainability:
We seek to promote the application of sustainable design principles in all our projects. Snug Projects is registered with the Green Register of architects and is able to help clients achieve sustainable design solutions. We seek to transform ‘machines for living' (Le Corbusier) into living machines.
